Why is my car overheating? Part 1

Image
If you are wondering why your Car Is Overheating, there could be a couple of issues. First of all driving with a Overheating Engine is very dangerous and you should pull over immediately. Please wait for the car to cool down before you open the hood. One of the first things to do is check your Coolant Level. Coolant is also known as Antifreeze.  One way you can check this is making sure nothing is Leaking Under Your Car. When you check the coolant make sure not to take off the cap because of the pressurized system. You can check you car's coolant, which is usually on the far left by looking at the side of the Coolant Reservoir as seen in the picture above and check to see the marking of the Coolant level through the plastic.  If you have any question please call (570)-347-4056 or Make A Reservation for Scranton Auto Service, 711 Davis Street, Scranton PA 18505 .

With warming temperature, you maybe noticing warm air blowing out of your Air Conditioning Vent or it not working at all, this may make you question why is my A/C not working. The first thing you want to do is to make sure the Temperature is set to a cooler temperature and make sure if you have a A/C button make sure it is pushed. For example, in the picture above, it is portrayed as a snowflake.  One of the most common problems can be disconnected or lose wires. There could also be many other problems for example  Refrigerant (commonly used R134a or R1234yf) Running Low or the Air Filters are blocked or dirty. No Heat In Car?

Image
No Heat In Car? Why Is Their No Heat In My Car is a common problem we come across in Fall or Winter Season. Verify the switch is on heat and not on Air Conditioning. Check Heater A/C switch to make sure it is in your correct desired Temperature . Refer to the owner's manual for correct operation. Another issue is Low Coolant (Antifreeze). If the Coolant Is Low or in a dirty state then the Heat will not work correctly . Also the Thermostats in the engine functions as a device that restricts the flow of coolant till it reaches a factory desired temperature . If it opens at a lower temperature or doesn't close all the way it restricts the heat output temperature. Sometimes you may have a Heater Blower Motor not working. Blower Motor controls the movement of air to the desired place, it is the air you feel when you turn on the Heat. If you feel no air movement it could be the reason. Why does my Car Battery keep dying?

Image
Why does my Car Battery keep dying?   Your Car Battery Dying may be a common problem for you if you leave your lights on, have a weak or bad battery, or have a Bad Alternator. Leaving your lights on in your cars is bad because your car will continue to send power to the light, until there is no power left. A Weak Car Battery can shorten the life of the alternator. The alternator's main job is to convert energy, so the energy needed can continue going through your car. Having a Weak Battery can cause the alternator to work harder, therefore making it last not as long. If the alternator does not work, it will cause the Car Battery Not To Recharge when the engine is running.
